My faforite place

Karatung Island is one of outermost island in north sulawesi. It placed in talaud regency. Karatung is my village and one of my favorite place. Unfortunately, many people didn’t know that island. Actually, there are so many interesting and awesome things. Such as traditional capturing fish, traditional dance, and nature scenes.        Karatung island has a harbor and it’s 25 km2 the width. Dominated with coconuttrees. The peoplehas a small forest area. The people are kindly. They are finishing planting coral event. About the traditional dance  such as “ware dance” and “empat wayer” that applied for special event. “ware dance is a special event for christmas, or to welcome impoertent guest/visitor. “empat wayer” usualy applied in wedding party.

  Think about Karatung traditional capturing fish event, people called “mani’u”  it celebrated once for two years. It happens in jully. In this event, people hold the “janur” and make a circle around the bay. It begins from tide till subside water (sea). 

When the water was subside, we can see many kinds of fish with all kinds of color. Amazing..... you can take pictures. People were waiting for the order to catch the fish, while the day so very hot. I think Karatung island almost same with Bali. But, it needs special notice from goverment to devolp this island. I hope, one day my village will be FAMOUS place.
